The Science…why & how KeraStraight works…
The hair’s natural composition and makeup is mainly Keratin, a protein containing approximately 15 different Amino Acids that repeat and interact.
Natural configuration of the hair chain is determined by the intra-molecular bonds and their subsequent reaction with Hydrogen Bonds and the Cysteine bridges which are one of the Amino Acids in Keratin.
Amino acids combine to form proteins:in the case of hair this is the protein keratin. Proteins are polypeptide chains of hundreds of amino acids.
Amino acids are critical and serve as the building blocks for proteins. In KeraStraight KS Complex, the amino acids are extracted from orange vegetable and fruit sources.
With KeraStraight the amino acid Cysteine is added to the existing amino acid cystine and they form semi-permanent bridges across the hair’s inner structure to create a new shape.
The cysteine protein aligns with the hair’s natural cystine to form new di-sulphide bridges.
